Registrations or Signups are used whenever you are having an event that is primarily for Bayside attendees and you need to know who or how many are attending. You are able to provide information about your event and publicize it over the Events page, if appropriate, or you can invite a specific group of people using a link through email. A registration allows you to include a charge for the event also, if needed, and to have parents register any children they will be bringing if you are providing childcare.
PCO Registrations are NOT for:
- large events where you need to scan tickets
- small meetings where a calendar request will work
- events not sponsored by Bayside or where the attendees are not Baysiders and probably won't become attendees as a result of the event
- Bayside Groups events where the invite can be done through the group itself
Why can't you create your own registration?
There are actually a lot of steps to creating a Registration, and several of them are critically important. One setting publishes the registration immediately on Bayside's web site and the Church Center app with one click - whether you are ready or not. A registration has the ability to collect needed information and every registration submitted either updates a profile in PCO or creates a new profile. When you host an event you need the registration to work as intended, so it is important for the setup to be correct. Special training is required to administer registrations, and updates that are rolled out by Planning Center require additional training on the updates periodically. For these reasons, PCO Champions carry the responsibility to create registrations at Bayside.
