If you think your computer is acting like it's ready to for retirement, send in an IT ticket.
Here's what we'll do:
1.) Erase it- Often, erasing the computer and setting it up like it's brand new will bring it back to life and fix most of the issues. This should be done every couple of years.
2.) Replace it- If erasing the computer doesn't help, or there is physical damage where it clearly needs replaced, IT will issue you a new computer. We are good stewards of the money God gives to us so we will always try and replace with a computer we have in stock. If we don't have one, we will issue a new computer.
Other Notes:
- All computers are on a replacement schedule. IT will contact you when it's time to replace your computer. We don't issue new computers outside of the lifecycle schedule unless there's a strong reason.
- Employees may not pick the type of computer they receive. We have standard models with standard specs based on their use.
- If you feel you have a special need for specs outside of our standard issue computers, send us a document showing from maker of the app or hardware showing the technical requirements of the computer. We will evaluate.
