Be very careful not to mark someone inactive inaccurately. If someone with elevated access is marked inactive, they will lose all Planning Center access.
On the profile page of the inactive person (they have informed you that they have moved away or switched churches), select the "Action" dropdown.
From the dropdown, select "Set inactive".
Select the reason (or closest reason) for deactivating the profile. If the member is deceased, please reach out to the care department so they can complete all needed steps prior to inactivation.
In the date field, you may enter the current days date if you are unaware of the exact date.
Remember to click the blue "Set Inactive" button.
